A TikTok Shop listing video can be anywhere between 9:16 and 16:9, up to 100 MB, in MP4, MOV, MKV or AVI, and it must show the product accurately. AI-made videos are allowed if they're truthful and labeled (on-screen text, a watermark or the AI-generated toggle) and don't change the product's size, color, material or features. For the shoppable short videos that drive most sales, the product should be in use in the first second.

AI rules (updated 2 September 2026)

Allowed: visual styles and effects, editing, translation and dubbing, copywriting and script help, product demonstrations, as long as the information is factual and the product is shown correctly.
Label it: on-screen text or a watermark, or the "AI-generated content" toggle.
Banned: changing size, color, material or features; exaggerated effects such as instant results; fake experts (for example a fake doctor for a health product); impersonation.
